Block Coding and Berries!

It's a bit rocky in the Year 2 ship and some of us are getting a bit seasick now we've all realised it's nearly the end of our Pirates topic.

We've been squashing berries to make tie dye, we've been talking about our pirate ships that we've been making in the midst of it all and we've also been using our amazing imagination to write stories. The landlubbers have most definitely earnt their weekend break looking in the star boxes this week and by listening to some of their stories! They are superb!

This week in Maths we have been looking at our number bonds to 20. We have been having some mini competitions to see how many different ways of making 20 we could achieve, including addition, subtraction and multiplying.

In coding the children are looking at block coding and how they can make their own apps. There have been some dancing monsters and lots of different crazy things!

We hope you all have a lovely weekend. Let's get ready to make the most of our last week of Pirates!
