Butterflies, bugs and beauty

We really cannot believe that it is already the end of the Spring Term and what a wonderful term it has been! Lots of lovely work has been produced in Year 2 and amazing things have been both learnt and shared.

We have shown that we are fantastic Team Players when we made our mini environments this week and undertaken Easter activities in the great outdoors.

Our house singing competition rehearsals have been going strong, there were some wonderful compositions shared at the event on Thursday and let's face it ,,, we were all winners!

Year 2 have produced some beautiful poetry about winged creatures, encompassing imagery and facts. These will be added to our corridor display.

We have been continuing shopping in maths, making sure we have the correct totals and change.

Have a wonderful Easter and a well deserved break!

Bring on the sun!

What a changeable week we have had weatherwise! Much improved this week and we have especially been
enjoying the sunnier weather... Year 2 have been enjoying it all! We have made something rather lovely for our
Mummies to enjoy very soon, (obviously top secret so we cannot divulge any further) and spotted features that
are natural and those made by us. We then plotted them on an aerial map using a key to distinguish them from
each other.

We are looking at butterflies and have started to make some lovely 3D ones in preparation of our next corridor
display. In maths we opened a few book shops and were paying for books then checking our change!

Have a lovely weekend.

Here we go!

We have had a fantastically creative week! We have made some beautiful coiled nests - with treasures that we found outside. We also looked at the artist LS Lowry and have drawn different buildings using the same style that he did in all his fabulous landscapes.

In 2D we learnt how important St Patrick's Day is to Ireland. We made pictures of leprechauns, rainbows and crocks of gold! We even learnt some Irish dancing - Happy St Patrick's day to those who celebrate it!

We all look fabulous in our Red Noses and have been generous with our donations for such a worthy cause.

Have a lovely yet blustery weekend!
